At least he's presumably got the capacity to improve whereas for Keane the only way is down.

I think Jake O Brien will do really well for us in the longer term, I just don't think he should be rushed into the team.

Omobamidele is in the squad and played even less games than O'Brien this season. Maybe have a look at the squad first and have a think why he's not getting selected.

Can't get a call up for Ireland but he's the new Great White Hope for Evertonians.

I think that is a dreadful , short sighted decision from the Irish manager.
O Brien in the coming months will be one of the few Irish players playing regular Premiership football.

Said for weeks that the likes of O’Brien, Dixon and Iroegbhunam aren’t ready. Few weren’t happy but that’s the reality.

Tim is easily the closest mind, just needs the right partner with him. Gana too similar without the ball, Mangala probably too similar with it. I think Garner might blend well with him.

O’Brien isn’t anywhere near prem ready, said it before but he was playing for Swindon 2 years ago…

He’s not an elite level talent or anything. Could be a very solid CB with the right coaching, but he’s nowhere near even where Keane was when we bought him.

He wont be used as we wont want others to see how bad he is.

£17mil isnt a huge amount these days but to not be used over Keane at this point would be extremely concerning.

You’re forgetting that it took a near fan mutiny, for Dyche to reinstall Mina over Keane, which eventually played a massive part in us staying up that year.

Dyche knows best, apparently.
