He will have to wait to get back in based on yesterday. It might be a long wait under Dyche. A few spells off the bench might help but there are no easy games for us where you can come in for 15 minutes under no pressure.

For someone who thrives on off the ball movement, he was dropped in at the deep end with the opposition having 3 CBs. Deserves a chance when the channels are relatively free.
Noticed yesterday that Palace 'congested' the active parts of the pitch a lot yesterday which is why the game played a bit scrappy at times. They like to get multiple bodies in and around the ball at all times & Lindstrom seemed to struggle with that - stifled his movement.

I see we are back to writing players off again after they’ve barely kicked a ball for us. Great.

Sooner see the back of the manager than this lad, think he would prosper under a more progressive style of play.

I'm sure most of the players would, but what we don't want is players giving up when the style they want to play doesn't work.

I'm not writing him off at all as he has shown some positive attributes when getting in behind, which I hope he gets the opportunity to build on. However, Goodison just will not tolerate sulks and quitters.

He lost the ball, turned his back and gave up.

Hopefully will now have been told in no uncertain terms that is unacceptable.

If it happens again I don't ever want him in an Everton shirt again.

Having a bad game, being bullied by fullback, not getting service etc... I don't really care. You keep trying and you put in the work. If you're not interested in doing that then see you later.

Was that when the Palace player went right through him from the back and the ref just let it go ?

Yeah was a definite strategy to 'leave one in him' early on, as I said Glasner knows the player very well abd could tell the wingback had been given very specific instructions how to play v him.

1 mid game from a young player and he's already the worst thing to happen to us this season, fair enough, we truly deserve Dyche's "run around a lot doing nothing" dogma.

Or maybe people expect a player who is having a bad game to at least show a bit of fight and bottle rather than spitting the dummy out and giving up?
