I remember he came from Turkey as a “has been”. All we could afford at the time. What a piece of business that turned out to be. Pace that defied his frame & power. I was sat in the kemlin road online with the 18yrd box to see Barmby>Jeffers>Big Kev cooly lift it over the keeper. And after he left us he was always so gracious towards the club. A true gentleman.

So many amazing tributes illustrates what a great guy he really was. My heart really goes out to his family. A strange love affair when you think about it but one that was truly mutual. Funny how a real hero can just appear from nowhere

I don't know if this has been shared already, but just look at the passion he had for this club.
He had no time for those bullshit merchants in charge of the club. It puts the likes of Graeme Sharp and Graham Stuart to shame.

He got us. He truly got what it meant to support our club.
He was mine and thousands of others first football hero.
His iconic performances, especially during critical moments when the club needed him the most, left an indelible mark on our hearts.
I am absolutely gutted to hear about his passing.
