6 + 2 Point Deductions

These accounts also won't reflect departures of the likes of Mina, Iwobi and Gbamin last summer but even so a long way to go to get to a sustainable level. It's depressing that we've barely made a dent having trimmed so much fat off the squad, but when you look at numbers across the whole league and pyramid you wonder if football as a business is sustainable as things are. Footballers are simply paid too much money.
Absolutely. They will be off for the 23/24 with Alli and Gomes, myb Keane or Gueye in the 24/25 hopefully. Still not enough I think.

So it will last till at least 2026 or 2027 to be on a affordable level earliest.

Premier league average is around 67%.

We had the 2nd highest wage on turnover ratio in 21/22 of all European top 5 clubs just to say, behind PSG.

So are people still going to blame Masters, The Prem? Or are they going to finally come to the realisation that we have brought it all upon ourselves with the Iranian fraud?

Instead of having those jarg bits of paper with Corrupt on it maybe they should have directed the blame to the people who caused this.

One thing for sure though is the club played a blinder in fooling the fans that the fault lay elsewhere and they ate it up.

Basically there's no realistic situation where both Branthwaite and Onana will stay? At least one of them will have to be sacrificed before July 1st 2024, possibly both?

Of the two Onana is a little more sellable as let's be honest the backline would then be one Tarks pulled hamstring or ACL away from total disaster next season, very lucky he's an incredibly robust CB.
Branthwaite, Onana and Pickford will have to go.

It's about surviving as a going concern now.

Realistically Branthwaite needs to be sacrificed before July 1st as Onana won't make the necessary profit

Some fans tried to protest, they were given abuse and laughed at.

You get the club you deserve in the end.

We need to do our bit by getting down the club shop and buying all the stock.
Was think about this the other day. Does all the money we make from merchandise sales from Everton 1, everton 2 and Everton direct go straight to the club. Only ask as are we still with that merchandise company that pays us a set fee every year. So no matter what we sell it doesn’t matter.

Not sure who takes Pickford as the top lot are sorted for keepers, perhaps West Ham?

Think Calvert Lewin will be sacrificed instead to a mid table team in a similar manner to Iwobi.

This forum was frothing at the mouth when Ashley Young was signed on a free....this summer will top that scrabbling around in the bargain basement for players.

“Let’s release it on a bank holiday weekend, when our fans are suicidal, worrying about relegation and the RS are going to win the title in the same season. Let’s not let them even enjoy their Easter eggs.”
My thoughts. It’s a never ending crap show. We don’t even get a day off from it. We will get stuffed by Newcastle Tuesday, then get another ten point deduction then Goodison will be toxic on Sat where we play Burnley where their goalkeeper will have a Worldy and they will break in 90 mins, score and win. It’s all so obvious.

It's not binary, we can be an incompetent basket case that is tied up in a corrupt poorly run organisation
