6 + 2 Point Deductions

Let’s get the marches and protests going like never before, I know it’s gonna be hard but we’ve gotta go again. If Everton are to be the club that blows this whole rats nest open then so be it.

We went against the crap owner and chairman, we know we have been ran like a circus and they have not helped our situation, but building a new ground, during brexit and covid, to make us more sustainable as a business has to have some legitimacy with any reputable organisation - it had none in our case. Ridiculous.

Being charged for the same years we have already been charged for is also ridiculous, and just adds to the whole charade that has been the way the corrupt PL have handled this entire situation against our club.

The only reason other clubs won’t be hit is that they are changing the rules IN AUGUST?!? How it that fair?

Chelsea can write off £4 billion debt without any issues, then allow the new owner to spend another billion on top of that - how is that fair or legal?

Our cases can be fast tracked but because city’s charges are too complicated, they can’t - how is that fair or legal?

We have keep fighting, it’s all we can do.

The rule of lenity, also called the rule of strict construction, is a principle of criminal statutory interpretation that requires that when a law is unclear or ambiguous, a court must apply the law in the manner that is most favorable to the defendant. The rule has a long history in the law and has been an important element of the relationship between the courts and the legislature, but its role in modern jurisprudence is less clear.

Too bad we're dealing with rules of a private club where they can make up whatever rules they like and enforce them arbitrarily rather than actual law

This is exactly right. How can they reinvestigate something that has been investigated and sanctions applied with no new evidence. Accounts are Accounts. We admitted the breach but that year is still included. Does this mean that in a three year cycle a club could be investigated and sanctioned for the same breach until those Accounts drop out of the 3 year cycle. It makes no sense.

Thats what I was thinking....that means they are making it a 12 month cycle, and not 3 year!?!

I've been generally unaffected emotionally by Everton for a long time (bar the games that we secured our PL status in the last 2 seasons), but I actually feel sick to the stomach about this.

The blatant inequality, outright corruption and unfairness is there for all to see - the Premier League, aided and abetted by Sky Sports inparticular have lauded how much money their teams spend in transfer windows, record-breaking TV deals etc. They did nothing when Chelsea and Man City literally purchased League titles time and again, yet they now decide to punish other clubs for daring to try to be competitive.

The Premier League isn't just a joke, it's a mafia.
