6 + 2 Point Deductions

If we are to reject it,.it wouldn't be a straight away deduction like this one would it? Isn't the reason city's one is taking so long is because they have rejected it?

We need to make a lot of noise from tomorrow onwards if we are charged, like Andy Burnham has been doing. After the first charge we kept quiet largely because we didn't think that the penalty would be so severe. We can't make that mistake again. We need to make them think hard about what they are embarking on, and we should do it with Forest fans as well.
what’s noise do? the whole country i’ve said the deduction was a farce

now another

We've had a net spend of £38.3million over the last 5 years and sold close to £300mill worth of players.

There's very good evidence to say over that period we've been frugal and curbed anything excessive.

Stadium, wages, interest payments, and not putting things in the right boxes on the accounts is what's been looked at
Our wages to turnover figure does not suggest that we have been frugal.

It doesn't matter if you spend money on transfers or wages it's still money going out of the club.

We have been super frugal but it’s not enough. Interest cost that isn’t related to the stadium is no different to us spending on coffee in the canteen, or the phone bill, or player salaries. It’s astronomical and rose massively. Only recently will it have flatlined. We all heard how many thousands of pounds per day we were paying in interest.

Mosh turning off the interest free taps and using commercial loans to fund day to day operations (not stadium) will have put a dent in this years PSR calc to the tune of tens of millions.

You put that into perspective. We fell foul to 10 points based on being over by £19.5million.

There's no way we've exceeded that figure so it won't be "tens of millions".

i think they want to prove to the government they don’t need independent regulation, so their slamming everton as hard as they can no matter what the consequences and now theyv gone to far to turn back back without looking ridiculous

By doing something like this, it would prove their self-governance to be incompetent and completely irrational.

You don’t prove good governance by making your league a laughing stock, very publicly bullying a whipping boy, and throw around ridiculous charges and rulings like it’s a banana republic.

Everyone is also acutely aware that actual countries own football clubs now and that the current champions have literally, inarguably bought their success over a sustained period of time, and that they’re lawyers are currently obfuscating due process.

The initial 10 point deduction was met with ridicule in the national media. Any additional investigations and punishment would shine a much brighter spotlight on the Premier League’s conduct, which would be massively self-defeating.
