The entire game bored the living snot out of me - opposition teams don’t have to do to much or work to hard to get something at Goodison these days and it makes me sick.

Arsenal are a good team but we let them play - this is the most passive, disinterested Everton side I think I’ve seen, and I’ve seen some shockers. We play like we’re waiting for something to happen, good or bad, and it’s nearly always bad.

The lack of engaging the midfield and wingers of the opposition and of stopping crosses is a joke, and the defending on the short corners was criminal.

Young cannot be allowed to continue taking set pieces - we’re a big team and the lack of goals or chances from set plays doesn’t make sense.

The midfield he’s picking is killing us - garner should not have been dropped.

Massive home games coming up after Brentford which I think we need to get something from. Desperate times.

We playing for a draw. There was absolutely no belief from the players. I know they have to mark and be tight but they are meant to be footballers and none of them apart from Braithwaite looked like they wanted the ball. Don’t get me started on Pickfords distribution. He’s meant to be the countries top goalkeeper. We must have an incredibly low bar.

We were once genuine peers of clubs like Arsenal, competing for major honours with them, today we looked like a plucky lower division side in a cup tie, looking to hang on in there and hoping for the best. Growing up as a blue in the late 70s and into to the 80s, I always felt we could give anybody a game at goodison, even when there was only 14-15000 of us there, now they just come here and stroll round like they own the place. That today upset me more than losing to the likes of Wolves and Fulham, clubs (in my life time)who've spent many years floating round the lower divisions.

I just don't know what the game plan was to win the game. It can't be just to defend, defend defend. You have to score to win games. We know this, right???

our midfield are weak and ineffective.
Onana was bounced off the ball by a midget, Decor was anonymous, Gana ran like a headless chicken and gave the ball away, and sliced a shot as bad as any I have ever seen.

Thought the work rate was decent but we just look so very, very limited, pedestrian in possession,no-one can play a cutting pass,we give the ball away so very cheaply, hopefully Harrison can add something for us,still confident we can keep our heads above water again this season,we are not a great watch though,Branthwaite a big plus today though.
