Jeez!!! This is a team who should have won the title last season! Did we expect anything else? There are far better games from which we should pick up points in the next 31 games...

Only positives I’ve got:

Branthwaite is class

Tarkowski looks very good again because he’s not next to a clown

Mykolenko is still a good left back when all he needs to do is defend. Felt much better with him there than Young though accepted there would be no forward contribution. Saying that he did get in there box and win a corner late on so maybe that was just tactics?

And that’s it. Midfield was abysmal, McNeil and Danjuma were basically playing as second full backs most of the game so again, not their fault.

I feel like giving up on football, which I've followed for more than 60 years. Cheats that go down clutching their faces every time they go into a challenge. Referees that kowtow to the 'top clubs' (4 minutes time added on for the timewasting of Raya plus the goal and substitutions and the severe facial injuries of the Arsenal players).

And yes, we were [Poor language removed] and yes, we could have challenged more but it is just all crap.
Yeah it was just an absolute shmorgishborg of all of the worst elements of following Everton Football Club in the Premier League in 2023. I dunno how much longer I can put up with it really..

We weren't battered but couldn't lay a glove on them today.

I'm convinced that it will turn in our direction soon now that we've got some players back, McNeil, DCL and we'll get that bit of luck required.

An earlier poster is right that there are some v.poor teams around us and we'll stay up.
