Put Special Ops: Lioness staring Zoe Saldana on early, fully expecting it to be utter GI Jane garbo, well well well, I’m hooked.
It’s more a cross between Homeland and Jack Ryan, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by it. Very bingable

Thought the final series was very disappointing tbh.

The acting was fantastic as always, but it felt rushed and six episodes didn’t do it justice.

It hopped all over the place as a result.

It needed at least another four episodes.

It‘s shame, as every series that’s come before this one has been magnificent.

Can see that, but as a body of work it’s been great. Final seasons rarely live up to expectation but I think it was good.
Definitely need to watch first season again

My daughter wanted to watch something historical and is into WW2 history at the moment so we’ve started A Small Light on Disney. It’s based around Anne Frank but fleshes the whole story out a bit more.

I was a bit skeptical at first, no zombies in it. However I am hooked it’s first class. Got the guy out of Gangs of London in it and he is far better suited to this than being a mob boss. Bel Powley and n the lead role as Miep is also excellent. I can highly recommend it.

Seen One Piece (the new live action Netflix adaptation) has been getting some excellent reviews, which seems to have caught many people off guard. Really want to give it a go but just struggling for the time these days.

Tried it, thought it was OK but couldn't get over the low budget Aussie vibe. Only managed about half a dozen episodes.

Guess I've been spoilt by HBO.

It probably is, but it felt like Neighbours for 18+

I'm a snob, can't do with low budget stuff.

I think his Paramedic GF was in Neighbours/Home & Away come to mention it.

How high budget can you make a gritty black comedy though? Mad explosions and laser beams?
