A transfer request should not mean anything here.

When players give up on certain payments and loyalty bonuses to force a move with a transfer request, it can make a difference. For a teenager on low salary that has been less than a year in a club, he is not really giving up anything.

The main difference will be when it comes to where the Leeds fans direct their anger. Who'll get the blame. Player or club management.
