What IS the point though? We bend the stick to accomodate a few sad old pros and agents to achieve what exactly? 10th place instead of 11th or 12th?

These people aren't going to rocket us up the table, that's for sure. We need to turn our backs on this.

I'm pretty surprised at Moyes possibly going down this Walteresque road, tbh. Shocked in fact.

He's given up to be honest.

Not only has be got that going on...he's "apparently" got unruly teenages like Gueye and Vellios cutting loose on nights out and not putting the effort in, in training.

Then there's Barkley...who, if he has 1 singular good game in the premiership, will have every top English club after him.

Yes mate, that is an uncanny parallel with the Walter days too.

Davek i can sort of see your argument but you are way off in your comparison with walter. His aged signings were as key first team players - davey is trying to fill back ups in his injury hit tiny squad - so they are short term stop gaps whilst jags etc recover.

He's clearly only coming as cover and then will move into coaching, therefore he probably won't play and we'll have one of the most experienced Centre Backs in Premier League history mentoring Duffy and co. Plus he's a blue.

He'll cost next to nothing as he'll be free and on very low wages, so unless he plays I can't see this being anything but good.
He'll be 42 in May. Just sayin like.

Mmmm. Cheese on toast

I sense you like onions on yours, shame on you.

anyway, yeah, David Weir isn't on don't worry, I think Onuoha(who I rate highly) is the more likely option. I don't really see the need for another centre-half at all really Duffy played well, Distin's back soon and Jagielka will be back soon after the end of the window. All funds should be focused on a forward.

I dont think so, I think the comparisons are begining to pile up tbh in terms of reliance on an old guard and doing some seriously strange deals. And I am VERY nervy about a manager who uses particular agents as Moyes seems to be doing now.

Can we leave the fuming until it actually happens.

And even if it does as far as I'm concerned nothing tops the embarrassment of re-signing McFadden.

**** me surely we can afford some no mark name from div 1 who is like 30 years younger than weir. I was appalled when we re-signed Mcfadden, this will just be the final nail imo!

i bet moyes will drop young Duffy and play Davie Weir if he does come
he was great when he was here and got us top 4 finish but fcuk me 42
if this does come to happen and he does sign we are in bigger trouble than we think.
