This is my this years player I do not know anything about but am now desperate to sign! Also, seems patently obvious that Toffeenut was referring to De Ketelaere. On loan, with option to buy according my source.

I can understand why another team might not spend money to bring him in but for us he's literally already here. We need strikers. DCL is not going to play 30 games. We're rumored to be looking to toss a ton at that Toure fella who I wouldn't say is definitely better.Fair enough.
But why didnt another Premier League club snap him up?
Why is just Everton making the bad decision to sell him?
If hes so good and we are missing a trick, why is he joining a mid-table Championship team?
Do that then... Even with limited minutes last season...his stats per 90 were 0.125 shots on target....thats 1 shot every 8 gamesThere's a difference between seeing every minute and never seeing him. It's nice to let the data fill in the gaps!
of course he hasHe's improved since he was in the youth teams
For me he doesnt look like a good player, he fails the eye test.I can understand why another team might not spend money to bring him in but for us he's literally already here. We need strikers. The first mistake, as it always is with Everton, is not trusting him before when we could have figured out what exactly we had. But to now spend more money to find a prospect to figure out if that next guy is good is just a waste to me. How about the guy we have gets a chance first? Is that so crazy?
My main thing with Simms is every single year people posted about how he wouldn't hack it at the next level only to step up and be plenty good enough. I also like how he plays! He's good at maneuvering and getting shots away in the box. He has a good feel for positioning himself. He's got just enough pace, and maybe more importantly the ability to switch gears, to trouble defenders 1v1 at times. I just find him really intriguing and hate that we're going to sell him after two starts when we have nothing else in his spot!
Just steer clear of the swimming pool!Welcome to Everton Jay Gatsby
This is just a personal thing but I don't find shots on target to be a particularly meaningful stat to look at. You could have 8 dribbles right at the keeper and congrats 8 shots on target.Do that then... Even with limited minutes last season...his stats per 90 were 0.125 shots on target....thats 1 shot every 8 games
He scored with his only shot on target
By contrast Maupay had 1 shot on target every 2 games
of course he has
doesn't mean anything
As he has for everyone it seems, since he was about 16 too, and yet here we are with the ball going into the net still. I'd have bet on him.For me he doesnt look like a good player, he fails the eye test.
Damn what a hard question why might a player that can help Everton not help City? You really got me there man I'm going to have to work on that one for awhile.
He also looks a few fast-carbs away from being chubby. For me he doesnt look like a good player, he fails the eye test.
He's entitled to one Danjuma per transfer window with his success rate. We'll allow for that.
I just said that. But he didn't get that wrong. Danjuma had his medical and was all sorted.
I loved yakubu and Saha's fa cup goal and the one against Chelsea are legendary to me, but they didn't net that many goals. Outside of Lukaku and one season with DCL if a striker scores more than 10 goals for Everton then he's in rare companyYakubu
Louis Saha
Not only does SOT tell you he can make get in a good position and make space for the shot, it also says he could hit the target. Its a significant stat, especially when it is 4 times worse than a striker we all want rid ofThis is just a personal thing but I don't find shots on target to be a particularly meaningful stat to look at. You could have 8 dribbles right at the keeper and congrats 8 shots on target.
Anyway his stats with Everton are too limited to mean anything sample size wise. Even his stats at Sunderland last year are a bit small in that regard. But if you look at his whole career the picture is actually fairly consistent.
