Great effort again by Stokes. Without him the game would be already over.

Woeful effort by every other batsman. Absolutely nowhere near good enough.

They should have been able to get a handy lead on first innings. And only batted 52 overs again, with a bowler down. These tactics with the bat are not sustainable, and bowlers will get tired, or worse, injured.

McGrath has done for Atherton once more, but you wouldn't rule Broad out from beating that record this series.

I think 300-320 is the maximum you can expect to chase on this. I don't think 370 like last time is likely to be possible again. So need to bowl out Australia for under 300 to stay in this

I know it’s not great for the traditional cricket fans but this is the first Ashes where I’ve really enjoyed the cricket.

I’m not a massive cricket fan anyway, but usually watch the Ashes highlights. However each innings is like a highlights reel in itself so far, it’s been great to watch.
