The Ashes 2023

Look I think one thing we can all agree on is that we are a much better team.
Australia deserve to be ahead in the series but its all been about the big moments. England haven't won anywhere near enough of them.

That said, I've seen enough to know England can compete and make the matches close. So I think they have a decent chance of winning the third test.

So does this mean....

Crawley
Duckett
Brook
Root
Stokes
Bairstow
Moeen
Woakes
Broad
Robinson
Wood

?

No genuine number 11 in that line up, but 2 number 8s but one will be at 7. I'm not sure if it's a really long tail, or actually a lot more depth!

I'm not sure how Tongue will feel about being rested after 1 game! Also a team that possibly suggests Stokes can't bowl.
A lot more depth I think. Wood is a half decent batter. Much prefer this team. Still unsure on Crawley though but @Connor keeps saying he’ll come good so I’ll trust his opinion on this.
Brook has looked a bit too casual batting lower down the order. Think coming in at 3 will help him tbh.

Hmmm anything to divert from the innovators of bad sportsmanship..

I’m with you on this. Australia won and the whinging and crying from some in England is embarrassing tbh. England need to grow a pair and just get on with it……

I guess it goes both ways... Anyone who prefers to be called 'Jonny' over Jonathan is a bit a of a cocky tit, which is probably why he got dismissed the way he did.

The scorecard should read 'Jonathon Bairstow'.

Only Johnny Depp and Johnny Cash get a pass from me. ☺️

Johnny Rotten?

Looking forward to seeing the Aussie batsmen facing Wood. Genuine 95mph
Smith may get flashbacks to Archer lying him down and I doubt Khawaja will be such a smoothy chops when he has a nanosecond to react

Stokes basically saying he doesn't know if he can bowl. I guess that's why they picked the extra bowler.

Robinson
Broad
Wood
Woakes

With Ali as the main spinner, and also the possibility of Root or Stokes bowling a bit.

Puts a lot of responsibility on Moeen and Woakes to bat well. There is no genuine no.11 in that side and everyone can contribute, but there is no real no.7 level batter either, so could go either way.
