Offer Xhaka half a million more in wages than Leverkusen and he'd rip your hand off.

These players hitting 30 care about bunce and nothing else.
He was on 120k/w at Arsenal, wasn't he?
If the options are us or Bayer (even tho we probably can't afford the fee anyway) he's not gonna give a rat's arse about the money and just go to one of the best midfielders in the last few decades to play in Europe, thinking he'd jump to us for that is just weird.

I’m not going to lie, I’d take Danjuma on loan.

Lampard was sacked right in the middle of the deal going down. He probably got spooked by the upheaval. We’re constantly berating our own club for incompetence, we can hardly call out someone else that sees the same thing as us.

For that reason, he gets a pass from me…..just.

He left because he thought Spurs was a better option than us, he was wrong as it happens. When Catterick was manager you got one chance to sign for us, if you didn't take there was not a second chance.

It would make us look third rate to now sign a player who snubbed us five months ago when we needed him.

That makes no sense whatsoever.

You know how football works, the fans would forget about that in a heartbeat if he scored on his debut.

Besides, do back to back relegation battles not already make us look third rate?

We are third rate. If he improves us and we can get the deal done cheaply, we can't be too proud to turn our nose up at him.
