20m isn’t totally mental for Gray. Don’t underestimate the sort of prices players go for these days. Gray is a good but not great player, and good but not great players go for 15-20m all the time.

Look at Jack Harrison. Probably not a million miles between the two in terms of age and ability. I’d rather have Harrison because he suits Dycheball better but he’s not a substantially better player, and 15-20 is generally seen as a reasonable price for him.

What a dream getting anything over 10m is. 20m for an okay 4 goal player about to leave in a year anyway would be amazing business. Absolutely have to sell if you can get it settled above 10m, but of course that depends on actually reinvesting the money.
