You appear desperate to be negative about this. It's quite sad really. Yes, there is the wider issue of how far we've come in the last 2 years to be signing someone for £500k. There is no disguising the perilous state of the club's finances, and this shows just how bad they are. But to be slating this transfer the way it is being done on here by some people is quite kopite IMO. He would have cost about £4m if it wasn't for the fact that he has only 6 months left on his contract. Give the lad a chance to prove himself, and Moyes to get the best out of him. Then make a judgement.

So saying a player who isn't good enough isn't good enough makes me a kopite? Strange definition, and it's a recourse that too many people use on this place when they disagree with each other. I don't agree with you, should I call you a RS? Pathetic.

Wow.

Anyway, first permanent transfer deal for us for the year, and the first in the last 2 years I think. Hope he does okay, and isn't used on the right wing, which is jut bound to happen.

COYB!

No, kopite is slating a fella who hasnt even put the jersey on yet. Nobody really can gauge how good or bad he is gonna be by the few fleeting glimpses they have seen of him in a utd shirt. Give him a run of games in.

good luck to the lad, hope he does ok, not a bad bit of work by the club getting him on board so cheap even if he is average at that age and price we should be at least be able to get are money back if it does not work out

God bless Bill for making Everton the highest spenders in the Jan window, we knew he'd splash the cash. So now we have Hibbo & Gibbo.........

Last season he scored in the Red Devils’ Champions League semi-final defeat of German outfit Schalke, just over a year after another strike helped Sir Alex Ferguson's men overcome giants Bayern Munich in the last eight of the same competition.

SAF hasn't won as many trophies as he has by playing people who have got as limited ability as some are making out Gibson has in games of these magnitude. Let's get behind him and hope that he can make a significant impact on the rest of our season.
