Just need to work out how we can get them to join us and how we afford them.

Is there any link with Ward Prowse? I've not heard any and would imagine he would set his sights above another relegation battle, given his talent.

I think that, whether we agree with it or not, this is a big factor in offering Davies a contract.

Maybe yeah. Although I am not sure I have faith in him stepping in even as a six for a run of games. Ideally if we can pick up a midfielder we need to do it

Don't think he'd be the worst pick up. Has flaws to his game at top level but has pace and can chip in with goals.

not the fastest but would get points from set pieces alone

For me 28 is too old for us to spend any money on, the mess we're in is from signing guys in their late 20s for big fees that we'll never recoup. 25/26 should be the limit if you're going to get any sell-on value. Did it right last summer- spent money on players 25 or less and took older guys on frees and loans. I don't know if that's a policy but it should be.
