Brighton is all down to the owner and the business he runs. They use statistics way beyond what the bookies use.
Tony Bloom and the Brentford owner were friends that ran the business together before they fell out and the Brentford owner set up his own version of the business and uses the same stuff at Brentford.
Since then Tony Bloom changed his business to the point that different parts of the business have zero connection to one another or even know anyone else from it so it’s impossible for anyone to copy
Bloody hell never knew that

Which is great if the board has a Dein type figure who has the footballing side nailed down.

Surely that should be our no1 priority when you consider if we had that figure in the boardroom from day 1 of Moshiri's ownership we would probably be a top 6 side right now !

I'm not knocking these lads from a business stand point they have done well for themselves - but running a football club is different to running a business hence why numerous successful billionaires in the business world have bought footie clubs and failed.

I just don't understand the thought process behind this proposed news - get a Dein type figure in and build around him.
Dein began in business as a sugar trader. He was vice-chairman of Arsenal between 1983 and 2007. He was appointed when he bought a 16.6% share of the club for £292,000 from Peter Hill-Wood, Arsenal's chairman.[2]

He`ll be back tomorrow, with more gems, from his big book of " how to present your own opinion and lies as fact "

Gents, whilst I am just as happy as everyone that things are happening please don’t think this is us out of the shoite.

We have been mismanaged for so long that if investment comes I don’t think anything will go towards the squad and will be stadium focused with maybe a little lift in Jan to steady the ship if needed.

We are in choppy waters and not many at Everton can swim!

The board is getting a massive overhaul, hopefully they have already had sight of the books and the squad and are ready to start making changes in the right direction but……..

I do hope I’m wrong though.👍
I imagine that whoever does come in only has a shallow view of how bad it’s been…..once fully in they will be digging a further 10ft down to reveal even more issues.

And are we in a position to take a gamble on someone who may be a Dein or who may just as possibly turn out to be a Kenwright ?

We are in a right old mess and imo need a coherent plan in place and key to that is an individual who's got a track record of running a football club efficiently well.

Whereas we seem to be doing what the club has done for however long now and throw mud at the wall and hope the splatter results in a masterpiece.

The same Dein who introduced Chairman Bill to Moshiri
