Summer transfer window 2023

I posted this after the January window closed. I hope we focus on the right players to deal with the current situation. We need physically robust, strong mentality’s and who know how to battle. Like them or not, the Sean Dyche players (Keane, Tarkowski, McNeil) are rarely injured and quality is important of course but so is reliability and a consistency in team selection / availability of players.

It’s not going to be pretty next season but buying cheaper, foreign players is not the way at the moment in my opinion.

I agree but it's possible to find mentally strong AND skilful / creative players I think, but really making a jdugement on mentality is a lottery, and even if you find someone 'physically strong' with a flawless injury record it might go wrong. Point is, we can recruit much better with a certain idea of how we want to recruit.

Of course you can’t legislate for every situation but good due-diligence, both physically and behaviourally does minimise the risk.

@Nymzee more links now to Tom Krauss and fee 5-7mil euros.
I will miss him next season - tidy box to box type player, but here people will say he goes missing for games and will dislike him. Also he's not really a physical type to the extent the PL demands it, I guess.

For the same missing him reasons I hope they get an extension of the loan to Schalke lol

In the 'old-ish' days we used to pick up really good players from lower leagues. I wonder if Peterborough or Barnsley have any good ones? Sometimes maybe players who were set on promotion might feel like they're ready to move up. Anyone have any ideas of good Championship and League One players?
