Fella thinks Myko is a good player, he wouldnt know talent if had Talent on the back their shirt.I'd be pissed off too tbh but he'll properly meltdown I think.

I mean also that we're signing actual good players which won't happen so...Fella thinks Myko is a good player, he wouldnt know talent if had Talent on the back their shirt.
We’ll get a lot more than that for him should we stay up IMOI'd be shocked if Spurs don't come in for Pickford. Anything north of £35m and we'd probably take it.

Englands number.I'm not sure we'd get more than £40m tbh. Only 3 keepers in history have gone for more than that (Buffon, Allison and Kepa). I'd be happy to keep him for the remainder of his career but anything north of £40m would need to be strongly considered.
This seems quite contradictory. You want to "guarantee" goals, state that our better youth purchases weren't instant hits in the first team and then advocate buying more youngsters. It's not the price that causes young players to need time to develop. To pluck out a random figure from thin air...
If we had £80mil in our position, i would rather we signed 2 top players for £40mil each than a mix of £10mil and £20mil players to total the £80mil
Why?
Because were close to relegation 2 years in a row and we need players to 'guarantee' goals. This costs a premium and id rather we did that so our entire team improve rather than take a far higher risk.
Relegation risk, players gelling risk and existing players underperforming due to poor recruitment.
The same if we had £30mil and sold 3 players for £10mil each. We should buy 2 players.
lol of course its the method i would favour in normal circumstances.
But none of those players listed came in on day 1 and took the 11 up a level.
Our team needs quality now...quality with an instant impact but also resale value and a long term focus.
Thats what i was saying. Anything up to £25mil still carries risk. The risk drops the more you are willing to pay per player.
So we should focus on just 2 attacking players with whatever funds we can put together.
Bring those 2 in and the rest can be loans.
Forest were willing to pay £42mil for Gibbs-White. He and Johnson are the main reason they havent already been relegated.
If Newcastle, Villa and West Ham want those 3 English players then there are still plenty of others on the continent.
If we could bring in top u23 players at centre forward, right wing, attackind midfield and right back by spreading funds around then great.
But i find it more likely that we get those top players by paying the higher fees.
He just signed a new contract in FebI'm not sure we'd get more than £40m tbh. Only 3 keepers in history have gone for more than that (Buffon, Allison and Kepa). I'd be happy to keep him for the remainder of his career but anything north of £40m would need to be strongly considered.
Considering where things were in relation to the real potential he could leave on a free, I would welcome anything at or north of 30 million. Funds are scarce and considering his age he's better use as funds than on the pitch. Factor other Prem clubs likely looking to address Keeper, it would be wise to sell him if we stay up or not.I'd be shocked if Spurs don't come in for Pickford. Anything north of £35m and we'd probably take it.
Fair point, thanks for clarifying. It's not me that's missing the context here. My only point was that spending more on a player is not lower risk. That was what you said and that is what I replied to. You're now introducing all sorts of bizarre points that are irrelevant to the point being made. Obviously on a very very basic level it's true - signing Haaland for £150m would be less of a risk than signing Gyokeres for £20m - but in the context of the market we'd actually be shopping in the difference is going to be much, much smaller. Signing Onana for £40m for example, was not inherently less risky than signing Garner for £15m.
Also it should really go without saying that the club (especially this club) thinking something is lower risk and it actually being lower risk are two different things entirely.
I dont see that as a great deal. If however we could bring in Bazunu and bank £30mil+ then it makes sense.United I could possibly see too. Not many keepers really out there at the minute, we're in a good position. I just personally think Spurs will go all out for him with Lloris leaving.
At the same time, we're not in the market to say no to £40m for our goalkeeper should a bid arrive.
Exactly my thinking. Focus on 2 top young players that add goals. If we stay up and Forest go down - spend all we have on Morgan Gibbs-White and a decent striker.
Ideally we can bring in a few more but if not, that gives is adequate creativity and firepower to tilt the odds in our favour.
Do that, and retain what we have and we'll survive next season. Then build again.
Should do.The U20 World Cup is later this month, would hope we have a few scouts there.
GIbbs-White + Johnson would be ideal if Forest were to go down. Both can play wide, up top or behind the striker.Anyhow, would love us to steal Johnson from forest
Then put what they have in a pot with sales and split it towards the best two young forward players we can afford. No it's the club that doesn't have that much money model
Good player and would be competing with Branthwaite in that position. Lavia, Bazunu id take from Southampton if we made sales.seen links to Southampton Central Defender Salisu, apparently his contract runs out in 2024 and they may want to sell this summer, rather than jim leaving for nothing. I could see us being in for central defenders as Mina is out of contract and coady will be heading back to Wolves.
I have no idea if Salisu is any good, I think the only player that stands out for Southampton is Ward-Prowse because he takes all the set pieces.
lol im nothing if not consistent.I really hope we sign a load of 35 year olds just to pee off Zat.
The young players listed for low fees werent oven ready. However young goalscoring centre forwards and attacking players in general cost alot of money when theyre already 'proven' to be able to impact top level games. This seems quite contradictory. We could do with an oven ready centre forward no matter the age.

Theres a difference with signing, Stones, DCL, Branthwaite and signing Brennan Johnson or Morgan Gibbs-White.
Turned 21 a couple of months ago and seems to be a similar case as Pickford at Sunderland.Bazunu is awful.
Zat do you honestly think that if Forest go down that we could afford Johnson and / or MGW and more importantly of all the options that they would have that either or both would choose Everton.Fair point, thanks for clarifying.

I know you love this transfer stuff but at least try to be a bit realistic matey.
