If I was Moyes I'd possibly think about playing Vellios and Saha together in a 4-4-2 at home and maybe Vellios coming on for Saha away from home. It looks like Louis can't hack 38 games per season and would benefit from shorter bursts of matches with greater recovery time. That should suit us, as it would allow us to phase Tollos in.

I'm surprised that Moyes hasn't put Vellios and Straq together in a game and rained crosses in too to see how some of the more purist teams like Swansea and Norwich stand up to rough treatment.

I think it shows that we don't start with our strongest possible team, and the negative tactics.

Or Moyes is just boss at subs.

I don't think that subs are generally coming on and changing games. I think that the emphasis switches more to attack as the game goes on. The trouble is that we very often leave ourselves with only 45 minutes to try and get back into the game.

If you was Moyes I would slap you silly.

Because Straq is proper gash mate.

Norwich? Purist? Does purist mean get the ball and hoof it to a big battering ram forward who belongs in the Walton & Kirkdale league?

Norwich are no Stoke. Yeah, Holt is a big unit, but they're not a team of hard men and they don't launch it forward aimlessly. Lambert has them playing some decent attacking football. They almost got something at Old Trafford from their counter attacking.

What's the point in us having Straq? Pretty much his first touch was to set Drenthe up for a goal. He almost got Saha in with a flick on the other night too. We've got a small squad and we have to make use of everyone.

But doesn't it show that the team we are starting with in the first half is bottom of the table quality, whereas the team we finish with is top 6 quality?

They're no Stoke but they're no Barcelona. I expected more from them at Goodison than what they did, which was kick sh*t out of us. Although I do miss the days when we did that to other teams ourselves.

I know he's had a few good flick ons and he's strong as [Poor language removed], which means he's good to hoof to, but he's slow, immobile and has the touch of an overweight wooly mammoth.

I reckon he's there for the comedy factor. When he comes on and runs round on his tiptoes looking for someone to start so he can cave their head in it makes me laugh.

I don't think anyone can quite master his style. All our posts are making too much sense.

everybody should at least have a go.....you may want to start by downing a litre of vodka, 6 cans of special brew and whatever drugs are at hand.......off you go lads give it your nevisbest shot!!

Staq's strength seems to be getting his head on things. Vellios is also strong in that department. Infact Cahill, Saha, Distin, Jagielka, Fellaini, Rodwell etc are all decent in the air. So, why don't we take advantage of that?
