Be funny if they announced Gerrard on Friday
Hope they do whether before the game or not as he’s a dreadful manager and an even worse person so I’d enjoy him getting relegated

If we play anything like the last home game we win this - will be a lot more difficult without Dom though obviously but we created good chances that didn’t rely on his hold up play against Arsenal like the the one Onana flashed across the box and I think we’ll see more of that direct play at home than we did last night

Gana worries me in a game like this he gives it away so often. He's ok when we are defending like against Arsenal but when he is asked to play it he gets caught same as the whole team we have to watch the transitions against Leeds as they are rapid even if they also fail to take chances like us.

Leeds always look like they will score but equally are awful in defence.

On the other hand we never look like scoring , unless it's a set piece , and are terrible defending transition.

Got a horrible feeling that Leeds will , like every other crap team that we try to take the game to , turn us over.

He needs to make changes that's for sure. He cant fall into the same trap as Lampard and just keep playing the same players hoping that something will change (I'm not saying he will, but I think there were enough awful performances on Monday to warrant being dropped)

So imo, that means 10 spots up for grabs (Onana keeps his place as he's played well lately apart from Monday) and we need to find a way to get more creativity and goals in the side. That for me means Gray has to come back in somewhere, if Garner is fit he needs to put in to see what he's capable of and got to hope Patterson is fit to freshen up the full back area.

DCL being available would have been a massive boost so we'll have to wait and see.

40th. We're just guessing, aren't we? We should win, but that's all.

I hope DCL plays because at least he holds the ball up even when he doesn't score. He must have been close on Monday
or he wouldn't have been on the bench.

Weve just lost three games against teams around us and the law of averages says that's due to change.

Of the 7 other teams in the bottom 8, theres only Forrest and Leeds that we havent yet lost to (both draws with them). We really need to turn that arround.

Tells us a lot this game.

I believe we're better in a comparison with other teams overall than our position suggests.

But that now has to be proven. Leeds at home is the game to get all three points.

Dyche and the players will feel very good about themselves with 2 wins from 3 games. That'd be a real base to work from, because Villa the following week will be a tougher nut to crack.
I hope you're right Dave, but, I've seen nothing in our play that suggests to me that we are in any way better than other teams. We are toothless, lacking in belief and our central defenders are, being kind to them, one paced. I'm not saying that the other relegation candidates are better than we are, I just don't believe we are any better than them. This is a terrible and unbalanced squad of players we have, they create little and when they do manage to create a chance they have great difficulty turning it into a goal.

I still think we are a very good bet to go down along with Southampton and Bournemouth. I will admit that I have a tiny glimmer of hope now that Dyche has replaced Lampard, but, the clubs lack of activity in the transfer window has left him with a mountain to climb. I really don't expect any better than a draw here

Massive game again, for the manager too,a defeat/poor performance on the back of the other night and the promise we showed v Arsenal looks to be a one off,on the other hand a victory and it's a different scenario totally for us,COYB?

How do you explain then the well earned and deserved win over Arsenal?

The team you described above doesn't get a sniff against an Arsenal team hunting down their first title in decades.

I think we're capable when focussed and keeping shape of getting the required wins we need.

Yes, Arsenal and Leeds and others wont be the same test, but if Dyche gets a settled pattern of play from this team that becomes our way of playing and consistently applied we stand every chance of surviving.

It's really not hard to imagine Everton on Saturday night out of the relegation zone and in 16th with 2 wins from 3 and looking like one of the more dynamic units down there in the bottom 6 or so.

Wins change outlook. Get one on Saturday and the club will be buzzing just as it was after the Arsenal win.
