I for one am shocked at who wants such radical action… shocked!

And they have the audacity to call us FC High Horse.
Herein is the " method in the madness"
The Snakes having failed with their ESL look for another way to get it back up & running.
Get City kicked out the Prem , City then say so be it and lead the charge for the ESL rebirth as there's nowhere else to go , the Snakes then jump aboard.

The Premier League best be careful what they wish for here.

I hope City's lawyers smash this to bits.

One side of me completely hopes that that does happen.

Why have a group of teams who think they’re better than the league, if they want to go off playing all round the world, then marvellous.

Leave the league to the loyal ones. Make it less monopolised.

If it does they will "double dip" financially by pushing to stay in the prem.

When will people realise that the ESL is already alive and well -

Man City
Man Utd
Liverpool
Chelsea
Arsenal
Spurs
Real Madrid
Barcelona
Bayern
PSG

Theres your ESL right there - the current system in place ensures these clubs will always share the riches at the top of the game.

Aided by "FFP".

I just hope City destroy FFP as would rather them and Newcastle being able to spend £500 million a transfer window if it gives clubs like us and the rest the hope of a wealthy owner doing the same.

Without FFP Moshiri/Usmanov likely would have spent that £500 millions wasted on CL quality as they'll have been able to pay the 200k+ wages to get those players rather than on gash like Siggurdsson and Toshun.

We got stiched up and the same happened to Wolves and also happening to Villa.

Leicester the only team who have done anything but even now they have financial problems.

City's lawyers will tie them in knots financially and just keep throwing money at it until the PL Cannot afford to do anything else but buckle.

The thing people are forgetting is that the Premier league is bigger than any Super league will ever be. I think most of the big teams know this as well. It's why the big 6 won't want to leave the PL, and why the big European sides will be keen that they do move to a super league instead of the PL.

The novelty of the Super League will wear off quickly, IMO. And here's another thing -- would the Championship, League One and League Two teams have a say? If they saw their promotion hopes drastically increase (after all, six teams from the Championship would need to move up to maintain a 20-team PL), they might want to add their voices to any support of getting rid of the scab six.

I think that’s why City won’t get anything too harsh.

The Premier League is a cash cow. The “top 6” are the star attractions and they know it. So why upset the Apple cart?

Ban City, and the wheels for the Super League begin rolling again, and then the rest will follow.

Even if they want to “double dip”, they won’t for long once it’s a “huge success”.
