I'm leaning towards Bielsa because he has a philosophy and there is no deviating from it. Everyone at the club, every action contributes to his brand of football and we haven't had that for years. If you don't play Bielsa ball, you don't play. It's that simple.
Under Bielsa we don't sign the likes of McNeal or Maupay.

Wouldn’t be either of them if I had the choice, and don’t think either would keep us up. But at this moment in time, I think Dyche would be my preferred choice.

I think Bielsa’s style of play would suit what we want to see, but we just don’t have the players to play that way or time he’d need to work with the players.

With players we have as cantsee many coming in has to be dyche dogs of war style 442 for me either simms and dcl or maupymay be better as a 2 or even gray feeding off knocdowns, not got players for bielse , but just proves the board havnt a clue as managers styles mil/es apart

A club that has any sort of plan does not end up with Dyche and Bielsa as the top 2 on their short list. We are completely rudderless, and directionless as an entity. Sure people are saying Bielsa would change the dynamic of the club and would get us up if we went down. But that ignores the fact that, when he leaves or is sacked, this board would just appoint another Dyche or Moyes, and we’d be back to square one. The club needs to stick to an ethos. This scattergun approach is what will have us as a lower league club for generations. Get these jokers out!!!

when the DOF signs them

I think we do have a squad capable of high energy game. It’s just a matter of pressuring them and flushing out a few undesirable attitudes within the squad, not all but a handful.

I remember Lampard first few games, we were fantastic with lots of energy and desire, we dominated and won. The rs game this season is another fine example. The recovery, tackling and interception stats in that game was astonishing with onana being the standout player.

The problem is doing it on a consistent basis, it’s not beyond the abilities of the players.

I remember Doucoure and Allan topping the defensive chart in the first 2 months under fat waiter, we were playing well but the cohesion was destroyed by injuries and the introduction of ineffective and half arse rondon and the game plan crumble.

This team can play and perform if they put in effort. Out of the 2, Bielsa may push the players to a new limit, I’m not so sure about Dyche. On the other hand, our players might revolt under Bielsa, and the board must back Bielsa if that happens.

Onana and iwobi will flourish under Bielsa, their energy level is good enough to compliment his style.

This!! How do you whittle it down to two completely different managers with totally different styles who will want very different players brought in over the next 4/5 days. Where's the plan?
If you're buying a car you don't narrow it down to a 6 seater 4x4 and a 2 seater sports car.

Bielsa would be perfect if we are relegated. Hed have time to get his type of player in. Not sure about short term though. I dont think Dyche could work miracles with these players, they are characterless. Bielsa my choice but how do you change the culture at Everton, finch farm etc?! Baxxendale doing the interviews?!! Mind boggling nonsense…

This whole line about the players being unfit to play Biesla ball.

Aren't the players meant to be professional athletes and if being expected to run a bit more, then there should be no excuses.

I did. I have 4 kids, so was thinking "7 seater VW sharan, or Nissan 370z and 4 bus passes". Was about to make the best decision of my life until the wife got involved. Got the Sharan... :coffee:
