Some people just don't appreciate how hard it is for some of us to just walk away. I've been going the match since I was three years old. I've had a season ticket for thirty years. Some of my happiest memories growing up where at Goodison with my Dad and Grandad (both of whom have long passed on). Going the match is one of the last very real links I still have to them. I feel like they're with me and celebrating every goal and despairing at every loss. I know I should just walk away. I know that I should've stopped going years ago really but Its not easy to just walk away from that. As daft as it sounds, stopping going that match is like giving up a part of what makes you who you are to some of us.
I understand that entirely. I’ve been reflecting on it a lot recently and for me it’s gone the other way. Everton was my time with my Grandad, brothers, uncle, cousins. I haven’t been regularly attending for several years and my grandad passed away last year. Only 1 family member now regularly goes and I go to maybe one game a year (the local away game to where I live) This year, I went by myself to it as my family didn’t travel for it as it was on TV and it’s a long way to go to watch us lose on a week night. Some of my best memories have been walking up the stadium stairs with my grandad, even in the later days when he struggled, and spending that time with him.

But now I have a disconnect with the club, which has been made by Moshiri and the board. I can’t even be bothered to find streams to watch anymore. My love of Everton came from something I did with my family. That’s gone for various reasons and I’m becoming apathetic towards it. I’m disheartened by the club and the way they are treating fans. It doesn’t feel like the family focused club it was and doesn’t feel like the club it was when I was going with my Grandad.

I’m at the point of actually just switching off from it all. The anger and frustration at something I have no control over isn’t worth it anymore.

If you're a season ticket holder then the club already has your money. Its not going to make the slightest bit of difference to the vermin that own/run the club if we chose to not attend and basically throw away our own coin.
Exactly what I said about selling too many season tickets, in the past when we were poor attendances reflected that, now with all the season ticket holders staying at home won't affect the club. It's no surprise that they sold cheap tickets to kids, it was my view years ago they were trying to prevent any rebellion in the future.

How can "never go to the match" equate with "something they love"? Sorry, stay away if you don't care enough, but my £900 puts two bums on two seats every season until I croak.
Some folk don`t have the money to go, its partly why I stopped going when I did, I didn`t stop following the club or remembering the great days of old.

You can do whatever you like, you’re talking to someone here who stopped going the game in 2019 and believe now more than ever that they made the correct decision though.
The run in last season was the best atmosphere for years, far better than you'd have exerienced in the past 30 years you were going, so you missed out.

Not set foot inside the place since the Kopite pig was installed.

Won’t be going back until Kenwright & DBB are no longer on the board.
Weird stance (as much as I want those two gone)

So the trigger for you not going was Benitez being appointed, but the trigger for you going back is the removal of those two, even if the person who actually appointed and wanted Benitez is still there? Very odd.

Don’t get me wrong, I want those two gone, but you could clear out the whole board, and the manager/coaching team, and the biggest problem with Everton would still be there, chatting on the phone with Jim White.

People might have young families, sick relatives and can't afford the time too, it takes 14 hours out of the day for each match I travel up for.

You can still love Everton even if you don't go to the games, I was a bigger...or more avid supporter at least, when I didn't attend games. Everton took up most of my time, I would watch the games on TV or if not on the radio. Now I go to the games I can but I can't be bothered to watch on TV as I know what gets served up. Least going to the matches is an event.

Unless you're inclined to get involved with the activist groups, voting with your vote is the only available outlet.

With all that went on yesterday, and the media coverage of it, I think it is the only way forward now to protest against the club. As a bonus, you don't have to watch Everton.

This is always an option for clubs having it rough.
But its more uncomfortable for them all if we keep turning up on mass, showing our typically massive and undervibg support.
That is out we continue to outclass them and all other club's supporters.
Let's those that can't handle it, do one.

The only narrative that matters is ours.
No one else matter or what they think.
We know the score so give them your passion as always. It sets us apart.
