2022/23 Frank Lampard

We never replaced our only true attacking talent from last season - Richarlison.

Iwobi has improved.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been injured.

Demarai Gray is playing the best, most consistent ball of his life.

Gordon blows hot and cold, as a lot of non-world class wingers do.

Myko and Patterson were unknowns where we signed them

Tarks and Coady are who they are. Pickford is a world class GK and continues to be so

Onana - jury still out

Gana and Doucoure are on the wrong side of 30

My point? I don't think Frank has "made anyone worse". He may not be the answer, but I don't believe he's made anyone worse. We have barely spent any money since Frank has arrived - the purchases of McNeil and Maupay was essentially all we could buy effectively "on credit" b/c the payments are over a period of time.

We are in our current state SOLELY because of the mismanagement at Board level for years
I’m actually starting to lean more towards that the rest of the squad are so bad rather than Iwobi has demonstrably improved that much…

So no he's gonna play a full strength 11 in this cup game in a futile attempt to save his job, and if any of them get injured that's the next guys problem. Everton!

It’s Kenwright. What a load of nonsense to say “admirers” plural, that fat oaf was the only one that is still (somehow) at the club from when Martinez was here aside from Moshiri who hasn’t a clue about football and probably thinks he’s some chef or something.
It could also not be true and it's just some lazy journo making stuff up?

Even if he has "admirers" that doesn't mean we would appoint him. I like Martinez myself but it would be crazy to appoint him again especially in our current prediciment (and just in general)

Potter said he wouldn't have come here. I'd say he's got enough nous to know a bad lot when he sees it, except he then went to Chelsea.
and now he also has Frank as a forewarning that following up failure at Chelsea with the Everton job isn't exactly a great idea

Gordon has got worse since last season.
Tarks and Coady looked good early season - they now look worse.
Gana looks worse than he was.
Iwobi had been much better for most of the season - credit where it's due. I do credit Frank for that: he has been playing him differently and it suits him. Great.
He's also had bad luck with long term injuries to Godfrey, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and you could say Mina and Townsend.

All he had to do was be better than Benitez. In some ways it was the easiest act to follow any Everton manager has ever had. Overall, though, we're going backwards - fast - from a very bad starting point.
Fair enough

I put that more on the board and the total inability to put together a decent squad over the years than on asking a manager to turn water into wine after losing the one player that actually kept us up last year

We all hoped it would work out, very few of us expected it to.

Blaggers and chancers appointing people who won't dare challenge them.

We're going down, Lampard should be gone. At some point we need to get some f-ing pride back.

LOL. Sky showing a graphic of our most expensive signings under Moshiri and have Dele Alli at £40m*.

* deal includes add-ons.
So a TV company built on a wankfest over a handful of their favourite clubs shows a selective, unfavourable graphic related to one of the "irrelevant 14" and you are surprised? Why on earth anyone pays for that chumpshow channel is beyond me.
