Who should replace Frank Lampard?

They’ll get Rooney in.

Whether that’s the correct path or not, who knows?
It’s another Lampard style gamble, but I honestly don’t think he’d take it.

Rooney was a winner and played with fire in his belly. He’d be distraught trying to work with this collective of mentally weak imposters.

Anybody decent we were linked with previously, Kovac, Favre etc all in jobs.

Anybody advocating for Dunc, just let it go and STFU, sentiment gets this club nowhere.

There are good candidates but they surely wouldn’t touch this with a barge pole, no matter how much money they were offered.

Martinez is as much of a failure as the club so no thanks.

Dyche is an option because he's out of work. As is martinez.
That will be our options. Who's out of work because they've been sh!te in their previous job.

Great stuff.

It’s not good timing at all for him. It would be a disaster for his career if he came in and we got relegated. Which, let’s face it, may very well happen.

Personally think we need an experienced manager to come in and get a few results. We ain’t getting another Ancelotti or someone like Potter at the mo and we’ll need to cut out cloth accordingly sadly.

You’ve looked really good under him every time I’ve watched you.

Which has admittedly only been against Everton, which probably says it all.

Dull, dull, dull. Has a plan A and sticks to it even when it isn't working. Like Chemical Ali.

The fact that most of the favourites for the job are previous managers or players is a testament to how badly we are run. Moyes, Martinez, Ferguson and Rooney. When Brighton lost Potter to Chelsea they didn’t appoint Glenn Murray, Newcastle didn’t appoint Alan Shearer again after sacking Bruce. It’s testament to the mess we’re in that we have such a narrow search. As someone else has said, Lampard was only the fans preferred choice for the job because Perreira was clearly barking mad. They were the 2 candidates. Awful from top to bottom in every aspect of running the club.

Try to get Tuchel or Poch. If (when) they turn it down, then Dyche or Nuno. I think the players we have are more suited to a low block which suits Dyche and Nuno, and both of them have experience of getting promoted from the Championship.

Dyche would be an obvious candidate as he has experience in keeping Burnley in the Premier League. Not sure though long term if Dyche can develop a team if he can spend some money. With Burnley it seemed like he stuck with the same English based squad that brought him so far. But it was always 4-4-2 "hard to beat but maybe not good to watch" football.
Moyes on the other hand does change systems and brought quite a few good players to West Ham over the years and managed to get them into some great league positions. It is baffling why he is not succeeding this time around.
Bielsa maybe, but i dont know if i fancy any other.
Martinez NO WAY !!!!

Carlos Corberan is certainly in the ‘up and coming’ category. Probably has a better record than Moyes when he first arrived at Everton. But he’s literally just signed for West Brom and our board are so lazy that I don’t think they can be bothered looking at anyone that is currently in a job, and will only look at unemployed managers.

Imagine watching last nights game and then the manager is telling you it was phenomenal and we controlled the game etc? Well that is what Martinez would bring and nothing else, the fact that he was first choice last time tells you that Bill probably phoned him after he left on 50 mins last night. It is absolutely terrifying thinking we will bring in a manager who will try to play football with these players, we will go down rock bottom on a record low points for the club if he is appointed.
Absolutely petrified by the thought of it!

That’s the way it’s always been with us tbf, as it’s the easiest link for the journos/bookies to come up with.

Think Duncan and unsworth have been favourites for the job a number of times.
Allan Stubbs was one of the favourites to take over after moyes.

You probably could’ve got odds of about 200/1 on Ancelotti mere weeks before he was appointed.
