But selling our top scorer, while losing our other main goal source, when we were already a side who narrowly stayed up is indicative of a side that struggles.
In 94 and 98, when we narrowly survived the following season we also nearly went down.
So I'm not sure it's an excuse. It's actually just reading the historical context and applying it objectively.
Personally, I think he probably has to go, even though he has done some good things. But I honestly dont hold against him that we are struggling this season.
His big fault, has been not getting the best from the attacking players. There is ability in Gordon, Maupay and Gray and even to a degree McNeil.
