Who should replace Frank Lampard?

I bet you said Carlo would never entertain us or James Rodriguez was never joining us...
Let’s be honest at the time absolutely no one believed either were seriously going to join, however 2 years ago we could offer Carlo transfer funds without needing to deal with FFP and selling key players, you’d have to be an absolute madman to join the club now without a guarantee you’ll be backed without selling first

Thom's Frank?
Lads it doesn’t matter who replaces who at this club, players manager coaching staff we get served the same tripe year after year! The problems are off the pitch that’s why nothing changes when we change personnel on the pitch.
Agree, but even in that context and even with me wanting to support him Frank isn't doing well enough he isn't even showing a style of play to work towards?!

Exactly and look what happened.

Saying categorically one way or another is folly as no one knows until we make an approach.

By the sounds of tings come next summer there should be funds there and lets not forget Kean will likely be sold and a few squaddies off the books, question marks over Star Boi and potentially Pickford.

Promise Poch a 5 year project and get him in I say.

No its not .
What club in the Premier league would consider hiring him if we sacked him tomorrow?
But to say he’s unlikely to manage a prem side ever again?

What has he got so wrong in signing Tarkowski, Coady, Onana, Gueye?

The key failing was in not landing a striker in the summer and DC-L being injured but if either of those things were different, this would be a different conversation, despite his actions being identical

So again a case of ‘fooled by randomness’ - check out the book by Taleb

If he had signed Kudus maybe we are a couple of points well off. We are toothless and can’t score goals.

We signed a striker who he personally phoned to convince to sign.
. I would think he would find it very hard to get a Premier league job again
He might get a championship club and get promoted perhaps.
So before I check out any book answer my question. If we sack him in the next few weeks. Would you see a Premier league club considering him and if so why ?

Thing is there is no harm in trying, and nothing to stop he taking it.
Maybe he wants a better job, if so he could walk away from us like Carlo did.

I don’t think Maupay was top of the list and think all, inc NM himself are aware of that

The key point for me re being extreme was him likely not getting a prem job ever again - that is extreme is it not?

You could be right that if sacked by EFC now it wouldn’t look good for him and he wouldn’t get a prem club straight away - as has happened to others - but after dusting himself down would likely return in some guise - if he wanted to. But the key point is that this is about small things driving perception - this is also about lacking firepower up front, which is worth a few points

The rest of the team is pretty good

And as mentioned - Moshiri, the fans, the forward line and Thelwell, in that order, would be in line for sacking, if anyone, ahead of FL in my view

You and I both know that numbnuts Moshiri won’t look twice at Poch, he’d have been in charge last season if he had
