I don't think Morocco's counter is that fearsome. It's good, but it's not Hazard, Lukaku and de Bruyne barreling down the pitch four years ago either. Like the US, if you get them well behind early they're probably not coming back from it. They don't have the three second-half goals the Belgians hung on Japan in them.

Morocco lifting it would be an enormous upset. The concern for them is that as the injuries mount, they're likely to get a little leaky at the back. They're not really a scoring team. They have scored a total of five goals, four of which came against the Canadians and Belgians. They're not a side to go to penalties against, but netting twice against them is probably enough to end them.

They probably want to see England and the Croatians from here if they want to lift it. I feel like they're a side that Messi and Mbappe can both one-man-army out of the tournament. If you have to beat them with team ball, they're excellent at stopping that. Like everyone else, they don't really have an answer for the insanity those two can produce.
