He's hurting, it's not his job to look after everyone. They should be running after him to try and cheer and thank him.

So, 5 posts before this one, you said "you'll play the higher% play".

England did that, scored 3 goals, Senegal kept shooting, which as you call it is the lower% play. You can't BS like this and then be shocked when people call you out for chatting utter bollocks lol

xG for England was better, quality of chances was better, they had 60%+ possession, they shut up shop as they're playing in an actual game today and needed their better players for it and saved their strength and not risk something. Of course they could, however with the captain's armband comes with responsibilities. Personally, I'd say staying with the team and supporting them is key.

Instead, he's walked right off the pitch and left them to face it. It's about him - not about Portugal. If an Everton captain did that, I'd want them booted right out.

What about the fans?
