Turning to the England game: obviously I'd rather the Crusaders didn't win, but one thing I would say is that they are a very multicultural bunch, and like in '98 when Les Blues won it as a multicultural team the England team could be a real statement.

England's squad is a kaleidoscope of different ethnicities.

6 Irish (Bellingham, Kane, Grealish, Rice, Maguire, Coady)
1 Nigerian (Saka)
7 West Indies (Walker, Rashford, Sterling, Phillips, Wilson,Trippier, Alexander-Arnold)
7 White English (Henderson, Mount, Pickford, Foden, Shaw, Stones, Dier)

You have to tip your hat to that inclusivity.

Still can't get over this game. Messi magic, referee madness, bad tempers all round, parades booting it at the bench after two big slideys, THAT free kick, weghorst almost becoming legend and then to top it off, Saint Virge of the Mangled Knee missing the pen and argies rubbing it in their faces after the game following Martinez heroics.

What a game, what a sport (when everton football club arent involved)
Game had it all. Much better as a spectacle than as a football match, but it's an instant classic since it was such a spectacle.

Football is war.

All bets are off, winners win, losers cry about what the other team did to win.

Yes, I realise it probably doesnt work in this case.

There was a lot going on in the game. The teams clearly didn't like each other. But sport would be pretty boring if everyone was best mates as well.

I enjoyed the game, it felt pretty authentic to me and a bit of a throwback.

Heat of the moment and all, was a nasty game in general with lots of snide and an emotional rollercoaster tbf. He's not being gracious which is sad but we've all been heated up in the moment ya know. He was a bit of a knobhead though, tis the argie footy way.
After the game isn't heat of the moment, neither is an interview even further. He's always that way to me. Would love him to end up in tears suarez style

Quite the match, great watch. The dutch equalizer was one of the best free kick plays Ive seen, what timing, and Argentina clearly should have been down to 10 but saved by a very incompetent referee.

No doubt FIFA will love it though.
