Had a decent night. Tenner on Morata to score with his head. 90 quid.
And had a HT bet. Both teams to score in both games. I thought well both japan and costa rica had to go for it. 120 quid on that. Bookies were very generous on the costa rica one.

It’s impossible to tell if the ball crossed the line unless you get the birds eye view. The bottom of the ball was over the line, doesn’t mean the whole curve was over the line.
Basically before VAR every marginal in/out decision like the Japan one was based solely on a guess (unless they have changed the rules since VAR)

I dont see how he keeps his job.
Low standards. The Germans have become incredibly complacent over the last decade. Hansi will be backed if recent DFB form is anything to go by. They're simply wedded to the idea that they can play Guardiola ball like Spain. But they can't. The knock-off Aldi version is never going to be as good as the real thing.

Flick has created a pretty impressive attacking side but you can't be this open in one off games. It's only one time you have to get unlucky and the chances go up when you concede the quality of chances they do even if they're dominant most of the match. He's like the polar opposite of Southgate.

Its nearly impossible to know for sure that the whole of the ball was over the whole of the line.

Its a 50 50 call and someone wasn't going to like it.

Germany weren't good enough over 3 games, it isn't just about a decision.
Here, I somewhat disagree. There is at least one angle which, on the balance of probability, suggests it was out of play, which was the referee's first call.

No other angles clearly show that the ball remained in play, so personally I feel they should have gone for the first decision/most likely outcome.

If it's 50/50, go for the goal. If there's more of a chance that it wasn't, go with that.

Germany is the Aldi Nord of Aldis.
