I guess the only good thing about going to 48 is that North Africa is developing a bunch of fun players but because African qualifying is so brutal (1 loss=death) everyone is so defensive and maybe they'll be able to get more freedom to play free wheeling footie.
 

I think his style works if you have talent (because talent can play any style) or if you have no talent (where you might get more space against better teams chasing Ws). If just mediocre (which is what Belgium is) its terrible.

Think his personality may be what lets him down, long term...hence he always ends up coaching teams in to a slow fade. Players can only stomach the tactical drivel for so long, you have to get at/with them at a base level, too...which was Ferguson's ace card. Like it or not, sometimes they need a 'kin shoe thrown at their head.

Going to 48 teams might just push me over the line to not bother watching honestly.

The World Cup is, was and always will be easier to win than the euros, and now going to 48 is just laughable.
