Looking at Argentinas squad they remind me a little bit of England in that they’re stacked in attack but not that convincing in defence and midfield

Depends on what you mean by convincing. I'm convinced a Romero and Martinez CB partnership will leave attackers wishing they'd played someone else

Looking forward to Saturday afternoon games on 26th November.

France v Denmark
Argentina v Mexico

Decent afternoon in the pub.

Nowhere near as excited as other World Cups.

I want England to win. It's nice being able to watch a game with my best mate (a Villa fan) and want the same outcome. I agree with the sentiment about the media and nobhead English fans on here.

As for the ones being paid to go, I don't trust anyone that can take that much time off work for footy. They mustn't do anything meaningful. Being paid now means they have blood on their hands.

Yes just had another look. Argentina look pretty strong tbf. Still can’t see past Brazil though. Top players throughout the squad

Quite a good partnership tbf. Who is their midfield usually? Paredes, De Paul, Di Maria? Actually not bad. I might have to reasses my opinion of them
I think it'll depend on how aggressive they want to be but yeah those two figure to be involved. They're thin in those areas for sure, but healthy I think they've got the talent.
