ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Any buyer that isn’t a sovereign wealth fund will surely wait and see if they’ll be a champions league outfit or not next season. They can wipe a fair bit of value off if they’re not.

Seems like they're actually just looking for someone to fund the new stand.

Might be a hard sell

They want to maximise its profit, sell now and let the new owners fund the overhaul of the squad.

Last year they sold 11% of the club for 750 million dollars. Have seen Chelsea bought for over 4 billion so will probably want over 5 billion to sell making a massive profit.

Imagine they became one of ‘dem oil clubz’

Mind you their fans wouldn’t understand hypocrisy if it smacked them in the face.
There'll be a cabal of phoney 'radicals' who'll stamp their feet and try and oppose it, but the vast, VAST majority will kid themselves they'll be unaffected by it and get on board with it with glee...and kid themselves that they're not doing a Newcastle donning the the Arab gear and dancing round.

The Saudi's were sent packing by Bill, something to do with his trainset !! Can't see the Cult being as 'choosy' (Dumb) if the Oil Billionaire's come knocking !!!

At the moment it seems many of their overseas fans want Arabs but their British contingent are very much against it.

Jonathan Wilson in the Groinaid:

Liverpool v Real Madrid

Last month, Real Madrid’s president, Florentino Pérez, advocating for a Super League, lamented that his club have faced Liverpool in just nine competitive games. His wish for more has been granted sooner than he expected and perhaps would have liked. Real beat Liverpool reasonably comfortably in last season’s final and had few issues topping a relatively straightforward group, while Liverpool have suffered a miserable start to the season. With Mohamed Salah returning to form, though, Jürgen Klopp’s side may have improved by February and, out of the title race, can afford to focus on Europe. Aurélien Tchouaméni has joined Real and Eduardo Camavinga was beginning to make an impact last season, but the sense remains that the post-Casemiro midfield is yet to be really tested.

Winners Liverpool.

lol

Quarter finalists in bold...

RB Leipzig v Manchester City

Club Bruges v Benfica

Liverpool v Real Madrid

AC Milan
v Tottenham

Frankfurt v Napoli

Borussia Dortmund v Chelsea

Inter Milan
v Porto

Paris St-Germain v Bayern Munich

Man City stand a real chance of the CL trophy this season. Only a Madrid team in top form can stop them.

I see Klopp is getting a lot of love for his comments to the press about how they should have been speaking out against the world cup all this time... this is a little confusing to me as the media have literally been posting anti Qatar world cup articles ever since it was announced.

His press conference was pure hokum and waffle.

Yet he comes out of this as some latter day Che Guevara.
