ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I mean, not that you want to see kick offs, but is that it like? Been hearing since this fixture was announced what mayhem there was going to be - but Rangers fans took over town and breezed in and out of Anfield like they were strolling around Govan.

Maybe it's best for the Kopites if they dont make so many grand statements.

Really? I didn't bother watching most of it. So they are still up to their knees....ffs

I have met really sound Rangers fans over the years. That is just stupid.

There are idiots in every support including EFC and Rovers.

The Billy Boys though is really sinister - Google the background to it if you don't know
That's mad, hadn't read about this before.

They would of out numbered Liverpool today in the City if you take away the tourists

That's what I mean. These social media types: boasting what they'll do from Oslo and Exeter. They were never going to be in the city.

I cant stand them but you have to say the ranger's fans owned the city in the last 48 hours - and did it with impunity.

Time for that lot to pipe down about what they'll do. They're alright throwing a can of lager at the Man City bus and waving a banner, but that's about it.

The Billy Boys were seriously violent sectarians. Apparently the SFA has a ban on it being sung at any match....rightly so.

If it is true that it was sung at a UEFA CL match well....

@Cork Evertonian and @RFCbluenose are sound posters. They may know if it happened? @HeartofMidlothian I understand there have had instances of this being sung at Hearts games.

I really don't know because I switched over to something else.

As I said we all have some idiots in our support including EFC and Rovers - however that chant is horrible.

Imagine singing we're up to our knees in (insert any nationality or race) and expecting it to be acceptable.

I was at the Rovers match on the day Elizabeth II died and hand on heart I did not hear any Idiotic chanting.

A few twits can make headlines while thousands are appalled at what they have done in the name of a Club and its tradition.

They sing it everywhere they go outside of Scotland precisely because it's illegal in Scotland. When Rangers died and Newco had to go to Berwick in the Scottish 3rd they had about 4000 come down from Glasgow just for a day out singing illegal songs.
