That's an excellent letter and well done for making the effort, sadly I think that we are both aware that they won't lose a minutes sleep over it and probably care even less that you won't fly with them again. I dare say you will get some standard form letter response saying that the cabin crew acted in the interest of the safety bla bla bla......
I feel for those lads who will have had to buy a new ticket with another airline at God knows what cost, quite apart from probably missing work and now being on some data base as a security threat !

Whatever the bar in the centre of Wolfsburg was called (had a bell above the front door) you guys that were in there were top draw. Wasnt sure where we was heading when got of the train but glad we found this bar first. Make sure your attend the next Europe away fixture and let me know what bar you'll be in...im having some of that atmosphere again !

Cracking trip..Berlin and Wolfsburg are two top places. Can see why so many chose to go abroad for a football fix, the whole experience was excellent.

Our Fans from England!

Yep, that's me. Only got back yesterday as we stayed for the Borussia Monchengladbach game on Sunday as well. Back to Germany on saturday for the derby at Hannover and then on to Lille next week. Glad to hear so many good stories about your trips to Wolfsburg etc. Didn't hear of any trouble. Good luck in the next round. Hopefully we will be joining you.

English fans celebrated peacefully

Wolfsburg yesterday was firmly in the hands of Everton fans. Already during the afternoon traveled some 3,000 British guests, celebrated at the Irish Pub, Kaufhof or at the Christmas market, waving blue and white scarves and stilled their thirst with plenty of beer. Inside the stadium, there were then 4,500 visiting fans - the police had the situation under control.

It was a blue and white football festival: Before and Irish- Pub prevailed before the game very best mood that Everton fans sang continuously football songs, a peddler selling pins and T-shirts and host Andreas Nanos brought plenty of Guinness to the people. "It's all in a good mood, I love that," said the host. Front of the restaurant lit during the afternoon English fans also pyrotechnics. Fan Callum Baxter (28) from Manchester was for the first time in Wolfsburg: "The atmosphere is great. Everyone is so friendly! "Even German fans mingled with the English visitors. Oliver Bock (38): "The atmosphere is great, so makes football fun." Excitement in Sausalito at the Imperial-crossing or in Old Berlin in Kaufhof. Old Berlin CEO Charly Hauff: "All celebrate peacefully."

In the Alpine village at the Christmas market in the FUZO the bear was going on: The Wolfsburg band "Enemy Jack" agreed with the British crowd chants, which echoed through the Porsche road. Alps host Frank Kuban "This is something completely different!" Was packed the little beer bar Salonika at the northern head. An hour before kickoff of the game, the English visitors flocked happy chanted in the direction of VW Arena, one incident: At the Berlin bridge an Everton fan ran in front of a taxi, he came to the hospital as a precaution.

The Wolfsburg police was present since the early afternoon, positioned himself with many emergency vehicles throughout the City as well as at the station, and so it remained peaceful. Police spokesman Sven-Marco Claus: "It was a quiet operation."
As in the Nuremberg trip in 2007, the German people were very welcoming and friendly, even the police were spot-on !

Anybody else in a bar (I may be mistaken but I think it was Sausalito/ Bar Celona) after the game Thursday night when the police massed outside?

One of the lads went out to ask what was up and the reply was "Nothing, go back inside and ask everybody else to stay there."

They had gotten wind of an unsavoury element of Wolfburg fans coming up the road to say hi..... they didnt get within 50 meters and the entire group was escorted away surrounded by police with three vans following on behind.

I think I saw that. Those Wolfsburg fans just walked past in a large group escorted by the Police chanting?

I was walking behind a group of 20 or so of them on the night before the game as they strode towards the Irish Bar, clearly intending to cause trouble. Their stride became less confident and noticeably less brisky as they approached the junction near the bar. They then came to a halt, saw that the bar was heaving full of singing Blues -- and decided better of it. I noticed a couple of them did get right up to the windows of the pub, but they obviously reported back to the group, who must then have just moved on. Wise.

Yeah, decent sized group..... certainly the exception rather than the norm, the vast majority were sound.

Was anybody else in the queue for block 28 (mainly Blues) and the German lad joined the back of the line shouting "You brought no fans, you brought no fans!" laughing his head off?
