The Baines midfield dilemma

Possibly business wise but I'm not sure for the team. Garbutt was a bit of an unknown quantity at that time and Oviedos leg had about six different angles in it. If one of those two is as good as Baines is then we've been very lucky.
We've never had he money to compete unless we buy smart and rely on good tactics and continuity in the squad. It's what makes us "overachieve".

Wasn't Baines knocking in a few trademark freekick in his and Wigans debut season in the premier league after getting England under 21 cap one after another, while Garbutt at the age of 21 has just managed his second premiership appearance and got his 1st under 21 cap a few weeks back.

That's not today Garbutts not a good prospect by the way, but he's well behind where Baines was at their respective ages.

Fair play I got my maths fecked up, when he was 22 he was playing premier league football. But we both know this kids on the wind up and making a poor show of it.

If we were a bit crap in the midfield area then, fine, try Baines there, but we've got Barry, McCarthy, Gibson and the Godly figure of Besic who are all boss..

Keep him at LB and ease Garbutt in FFS
