Nice board you've got here with some decent posters.

I will be on and off the board over the next few days in between work breaks, etc.

If any of you have any questions regarding any aspect of the game on Sunday like parking, pubs, etc give me a shout and I'll try and provide any info that might help.

you'll find that 99.9% of us stokies are decent fans and are part of the large football family. Stoke like every club have a few idiots who spoilt it for others.

I'm a 38 year bloke, married with 2 kids so no, I'm not trying to stir up any trouble or give you any duff info.

I just hope that some other genuine Stokies come on your board and give us a better impression.

We had some great banter on the Villa board which was a refreshing change. If you come over to the oatcake there are still some idiots posting on there but Admin are controlling the site better lately. One of the problems is that the Oatcake is a very busy board.

Every now and then there's some real comedy gold.

Not sure what I can do to prove credability, but if anyone seriously does have any questions then let me know.

A few snippets.

Parking is a nightmare - If you want to get parked close to the ground you need to aim to be nearby a good 1 1/2 before. Parking is available at the ground, small section for away fans + you can pay to use Power League, Harvester Pub or Holiday Inn hotel car parks.

Drinking - not much choice near to the ground. Away supporters are allowed to use the Power League, Harvester Pub and Holiday Inn. Obviously, you can get drink & food inside the ground.

Ground Info - there are a few things worth seeing. We have, in my opinion one of the best football statues ever produced of the late Sir Stanley Matthews. You can see the statue from the A50 but it's well worth having a closer look. I understand that we are having a new large screen installed in time for the game. Supposed to be 42 m squared but knowing Stoke it will be a 42 inch Plasma .

Alrite mate, what's it like getting the bus up to the ground from Glebe street? Take long to get back to the station after the match and do the replacement buses go from outside Stoke on Trent station? Thanks

To be honest, I'm not sure what the bus service is like from the train station to the ground.

I'm sure that arrangements will be in place with Staffordshire police to escort fans travelling via the train.

If anyone is coming down for the weekend two decent places to stay would be the Holiday Inn by the ground no parking issues the next day or the Premier Inn by Trentham Gardens.

Been on here for about 10 days now, and had a good read and occasional laugh

Most of the firm will probably still be locked up from Saturday night with it being an early kick off
