Martinez and his team examined the possibilities & decided not to bring anyone in. Sure the manager will explain his reasoning tomorrow #EFC

So we have an injury crisis at the back and up front and have solved it by selling a defender and a striker and bringing in a winger and an injured forward on loan. 'Stronger than we started' - ok.

It is a bit mad when you think about it.

1. We needed additional players (particlarly a striker and a centre mid) before the window even opened.

2. We've sold Jelavic and Heitinga.

3. We've signed Traore (to replace Jelavic) and McGeady.

4. We've suffered two long term injuries (Lukaku and Oviedo).

5. We're effectively two bodies down having spent £0 and recouped upwards of £6.5m.

Martinez made a big thing about being in a stronger position after the window than before it; the question is, are we? I don't think so.

This transfer window just tells me the manager never really believed we had a shot at fourth.

Strange to not spend money if it's available like, you never know how other teams may collapse towards end of season.

Poor form from manager, board, everyone at the club.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez on Sky Sports: "For us this window has been about not losing what we've got, and it's about having the right quality at the club and we're really happy with the players that we've brought in."

Free transfer for Johnny. Why on earth we let him go without a replacement? And where are the replacements for Gibson and Kone? Two in (1 loan) two out.
