I expected him to provide some sort of defensive cover for Baines which he didn't do at all for the first 20 minutes or so. We would have been in big trouble.

Also Mirallas has been slated loads this season, very unfairly considering he's 50 times the player Osman is.
Mirallas has been slated mainly for the penalty and his apparent desire to leave, very little for things like his lack of defensive cover for his fullback in a game. At Villa Bacuna breezed past Mirallas on several occasions as did Cleverley, it was Bacuna's great pass that Cleverley scored from, yet you complain about Valencia going past Osman without using the same criteria for Kev.

Perhaps it is because Kev overall is now a better player but it just seems disproportionate. Osman has his flaws but think they tend to get overemphasized and when he does something excellent - the control for his goal was superb - they get downplayed.

Boo hoo mirallas took a penalty and missed. Had that gone in no one would have said a word about it, one of the biggest over reactions by fans ive seen in a long time.

are you kidding? his little fan club explode into a jizz the moment he plays a 5 yard pass, and when he actually hits a bit of form, I make this the first time in about 5 seasons when he a had a good little run behind the striker, you would think johan cruyff was playing for us. Oh and players don't breeze past anyone easier than osman, like when he did play a season in his 'best' position and he was the most dribbled past player in the leasgue

Yeah, it didn't go in and it cost us two points. Nobody cried, we just shook our heads as it dawned on us what a complete spanner he can be.

Mirallas has been slated for everything under the sun this season, probably because of the penalty. Players like Mirallas get a bit more slack because they score goals and are match winners. Plus for the most part Mirallas is ok in terms of tracking back.

Cheers for that, some interesting stuff in there. Would never had thought Naismith that season was our best tackler, Fellaini our worst crosser or Pienaar dispossessed the most.

Santi Cazorla was even worse that Osman for being dribbled past, I though he was a good player lol

No wonder we're fuked, when Osman is your best creative player on the ball your gonna be in trouble. Sort it Bert you Spanish Blert or step up Ross and be a man.

I don't think the arsenal fans are clamouring for him to play left mid over sanchez for his superiour defensive qualities though
