So Lukjanciks is playing two years up as a 16 year old.

Was just checking who would be ahead of him in the u21s next season? Pickford, Graham, Barnsley, Leban and Crellin?

Virginia and Tyrer of course just a bit older.

Seems like weve got a stack of keepers for the u21s...whats the point of that?

Would be interesting to know what Lukjanciks "pathway" is. If hes the top prospect at GK then Id hope hes in our u21s at 17.

Jacob Barry was on our bench last night. He's either a U15/16 keeper or much more likely just been signed/on trial from Carlisle. If its the latter he's an 18 year old keeper with very little info on stats etc.

And by August we’ll have done our usual trick of signing at least three young goalkeepers that nobody has heard of , at least one from N Ireland

I doubt it. We likely just have a NW scout looking in that area (which as a NW resident can tell you the footie ability is sparce).

Only thing to note from the 18s match is we had Kurainashe Musanhi at left back on trial. Recently been on trial at Palace but otherwise looks like played sunday/non league.

Bit surprised given we released Lienou, I'd assumed we already had a 16s left back better than him

I wonder if Freeman is a right back (judging by the number 2).

I think we'll move Kyle John on, Mahers contract hasn't been renewed so that would leave us quite short with Dixon covering the u21s and I'm not sure who is coming through the u18s in that position atm.

It's 2024 - he's probs a keeper or striker.

The 18s have Finney but he's been playing further forward with Rocco Lambert from the 16s playing rb the past few games. Odin Samuels Smith could play there as well if needed.

Me too going off numbers I'd assume Freedman is a rightback and gives us options in the position anyway.

He's the grandson of the late Ray Clemence and his dad is Dougie Freedman so he comes from good footballing stock.
