If you take a step back and see how the police act you can totally understand the presence of ultras in a club like Lille- The club does NOT have a history of violent fans. Like middle of nowhere Lyon also.
But the heavy-handedness of authorities make disenfranchised youngsters act out. act violent. break the rules.
Note- am in absolutely no way condoning the actions of the thugs last night. they're f*****n disgusting creatures. But seeing the police actions today definitely increases an understanding of how that culture arises.
