Most teams with a paltry 4 points going into their final game would be well out of the equation but yet somehow they still have a decent chance. We all know they will make it through and all their optimism will return even though they have done next to nothing in the competitions easiest group.

Having read the Everton thread on RAWK today (link was above) it seems to me that their comments about us have turned from banter and taking the p*** (as we do about them) into someone more than that - it is literally spiced with vitriol and bile so much that one must concede they're seriously unhappy about things when the default defence is to lay into us in such unpleasant terms.
They really thought they had returned to dominance, while utd were set for a spell of mediocrity. The fact that things have gone back to normal so quickly is really pricking the bubble of their delusion.

Just had to put up with glory seeking out of town fans on the 17 bus, hope Basel friggin' bum them just that bit harder now.

From Norway were they? They usually are.

Also, it amazes me that RAWK take the pee out of us for having Cockney Based United supporters (and they're right, we've got a good few) when EVERY time I go abroad on my hols, I always bump into a group of Kopites, wearing their horrible, tacky Carlsberg replicas, and then they open their mouthes and they are COCKNEYS. Probably got into Liverpool in the 80s, you can tell by their age.

Listen to a TalkSport phone-in. SO MANY Pool fans are Londoners.

8 months ago they were celebrating winning the league. Now they talk of a famous European night where all they can do is finish above European giants like Basel and Ludogerets. I hope it wasn't like the last famous European night against Real when they all went home after 20 minutes.

They will win tonight, unfortunately, would love to be wrong but when we're all feeling a bit down about things, they usually take the opportunity to make us feel worse. Anyway, they're the last team I want to see drop into the Europa league. the only way I want them to lose tonight is by also finishing bottom of the group, is this still possible?

lol But he's nailed on to score the winner now

Sadly for today’s Liverpool, Mellor is long gone. As is Florent Sinama Pongolle, who like Mellor also notched a goal and an assist that night, though he took a whopping 45 minutes to make his contribution. For the record, Liverpool’s other goal was scored by a Steven Gerrard. He’s no longer with Liverpool either, having been replaced at approximately 2.53pm on 27 April 2014 by this pasty-white apparition that floats around aimlessly, staring 1,000 yards into the distance, never to blink. Some say it’s the same man, but anyone who went to that Chelsea game can see that’s not the case.
