Well then let's give Galloway back while we are at it, because we forced the hands of MK Dons on that one. You are being principled in hindsight, when really we don't do it enough.

I'm not being principled, the whole thing stinks, since when do we use other Clubs as a proxy? Sorry but it is a lot different to Galloway. We shouldn't be using other Clubs to broker deals through agents for us, disgusting behaviour.

David Henen's agent, Christophe Henrotay, has an excellent relationship with Everton ... and Olympiakos. #EFC

Hi Anderlecht, youve been Kenwrighted

We got shafted by Utd over Rooney in 2005 when we were flat broke.

As others have said, it's the nature of the modern game unfortunately, but we'd be shortsighted not to take advantage of it ourselves. Besides, Anderlecht would probably end up generating sell-on fees for him in the future anyway.

Ah suit yourself. It's a way of getting round third party ownership and stiffing a club out of a million or so. We could do things the "right way" and miss out on players or get a bit more hard nosed and put together a good deal for the clab. It's hardly tyrannical when compared to other clubs.

Can't believe people are complaining that we've cheated Anderlecht out of anything?
This kid had been at Finch Farm for a month
Anderlecht were getting RID of him, one way or another, yet they wanted more than 1.5m for a kid they clearly didn't want?
If you don't find this ridiculous and feel that Everton should have just stumped up more money then you're a bit mad.
They happily sold him to Olympiakos. Who cares what deal Everton negotiated with Olympiakos, has nothing to do with Anderlecht?
Either Everton end up with a good prospect after his loan 'trial' for a fair pre-negotiated price, or he goes to Olympiakos. Easy.
People love bitching at Everton. This was good business.

Can just see it now. We're 3-2 up in the Europa League Final against the RS, the hat-trick hero, Kone goes off on a stretcher clutching his knee a minute into added time, Eto'o and Lukaku are both unavailable so we bring on Henen, who makes his debut. We see off the RS and celebrate bringing the EL back to Goodison.
Meanwhile in Belgium, Anderlecht are still seething about the Henen deal and lodge a formal complaint with UEFA over our dealings with them. UEFA then rule that Henen remained an Anderlecht player and hence was illegible to play, removing the trophy and awarding it to the RS, who finished 9th after a disappointing season, allowing them to qualify for the CL whilst we are banned from European competitions for 2 years.

SAF, and Wenger was interested in Henan a year ago - So if we have him on loan with the right to buy that is the only way we have shafted Anderlecht otherwise if he plays first team games for us and is brilliant, and he is a star, that 3 million could end up being 10 - 15 million! how's that good business?

I don't really understand this. Did Olympiakos pay less for him than the 1.5m Anderlecht were asking us to pay? If so, how come there was one price for us and another for them?

Everyone else knows about the extra Sky money, so Premier League clubs are having to pay more than they otherwise would ask.

Just a case of creative accounting.Practised the world over. Can anybody check if we recently headhunted somebody from Starbucks?
