Fergie is staying at United until the end of the season, he just has to say he's leaving after the season finishes.

So we're agreed he wouldn't resign. I'm not certain it'd be in his favour to announce it before the final either. United wouldn't be in too much of a rush to force him to do it if they did go for Klopp IMO.
