Blackburn takeover nears

So tell me, do you think they would be suitable suitors for Everton FC? It smacks of being bought because of their strong Asian following.

I see what you're saying here mate and I admit the error of my ways. We dont want the likes of these Indians. We're best sticking with Bill and his empty promises and a bloodsucker like Robert Earl who made it plain that he wouldn't put anything into the club.

Take your rupees away with you Mrs Desai. We dont want your sort round our boardroom.

Hahahaha.

Getting bought by a company with a billion dollar turnover.

Note for Bill Kenwright:

"The Jack Walker Trust put Blackburn up for sale two years ago in the hope of attracting buyers willing to invest, but Venky's is the first company to have satisfied club chiefs about their future intentions."

Two years. Why has Barrymore's mate failed to get a sniff for over a decade when Blackburn get this? Because Blackburn actually are for sale.

We're obviously not in the same ball park as big hitters Blackburn with their worldwide fanbase and marketing potential, and their new stadium...hold on....

I'm sat here laughing. You seriously think this company is a good investor?

All down to the "billion dollar" turnover phrase perhaps? Your the sort of supporter that would drop your kecks for the first "billionaire investor" to be promised the earth then to be laid low and ruined by empty promises.

Could be here today. Gone tomorrow lad.

So lets get this straight. You're SERIOUSLY comparing this to the type of ownership you want to see at Everton?

"DAVEK OUT !"

Have you ever done business in India Davek?

Sorting their debt, buying the club's shares themselves and not leveraging, providing some money for transfers and being realistic about success on the pitch over time.

Am I missing something here or is that not about right as a takeover model?

It sure is. But to what end? How are they taking the club forward? It doesn't seem like they're making Blackburn anything that they aren't now.

Which is fine, but as it relates to Everton, well, it doesn't really relate to Everton at all.

Blackburn have been in the doldrums for a long time now, they became a net selling club as the Jack Walker Trustees pulled the plug on team financing and started clawing money in. What's proposed by this new lot is 'taking the club forward' in that respect.

Let's face it: if someone came forward and said they'd wipe out Everton's debt and guarantee £5M per season transfer money as well as allowing Moyes to keep money from sales, you'd bite their hand off.

Granted, we have more ambition than Blackburn, but that''s just a matter of a scale of operation not a problem with the the model itself - as you concede.

Its a good point that.

I noticed you added "per season" there yourself as if no one would notice lad.

Where in the original quote did it say "per season" ? He said £5million would be made available after the buyout.

However with you hitching your skirt up... Moll Flanders thinking that meant per season you missed the crucial point.

There is no promises of further spending.

And its doubtful they have £5million to give Blackburn every season based on their US$100million profit last year...

You know why lad? Because they're in meat industry and their profits could be wiped out in any one year if price of animal feed jumped due to grain prices and contracts increasing. Or maybe currency price fluctuations from their suppliers.

Factomundo lad.
