We have Eto'o and Lukaku fighting for a place up front. Naismith has become a different player under him, McCarthy was an unreal signing (when most scoffed at the fee). Most of all for me, we play to win!

The change has been 'Phenomenal' in our play, outlook, club profile and as mentioned fans attitude - new songs:)

I proper love Bobby me, top lid. Just know he goes for a sharp Cheddar on his toast to!

So, almost 18 months to the day we're in the midst of a decent, almost excellent run of form from our 'new' manager, to a lot of us Roberto is still bedding in.

For me, i was desperately disappointed to see a recently relegated manager appointed to our special club. I insisted on him being judged at least 18 months later, not 6 months, not 9 or 12 months. 18, its a standard amount giving to any senior member of a executive team to produce tangible results

I remember distinctly being mortified at him being our new manager, as @ijjysmith says ' support the team, not the manager'. This resonates for two reasons - one ijjy usually talks utter balls, but he was right!

So.

A lot of praise for the previous twelve months work in which we saw the blossoming form of some really tremendous players, Ross will grab all the headlines but to a lot of us its Coleman & Stones who are drawing the attention, if i'm really critical Ross hasn't reached the standards of Coleman & Stones given his potential.

So, what has he achieved? Well, no trophies yet, but he did give the statisticians amongst us a raging boner.

Most points in his first season, got us back into Europe and turned some of our players into World class individuals.

He broke the transfer record, no actually smashed it and smiled at this fact. I'm of the age now where i look lustfully at the players we used to have and what he 'used' to have, players like Kanchelskis and Barmby ( spit ) they were both bought for substantial sums and got us all excited as Blues, we looked at our team sheets and thought ' we can beat teams now', we've got players capable of doing things teams around is have had for a while.

I think what this all means is after a long 10 years of hoping, and being disappointed for a load of different reasons, Evertonians like me have a lot to be excited about, we've got a boss manager, we've got some truly world class players on decent contracts which should sufficiently ensure momentum going forward, we no longer need to sell to fund our survival.

Our survival should be based upon winning games now, not selling our players.

Great post Bry'.

:)

Jesus Christ.

A little time away and @Bryan starts writing meaningful posts on here. Unreal.

Annoyingly good too.

Played bry. We're heading in the right direction but some still think it will/should be a straight road to success. Which is rubbish. And these people are the ones who go mental when we get nobbed by Swansea on the dodge 'o cup.

There will be bumps. The start to this season is one. It won't be the last. But I truly beleive we are going in the right direction. Finally.

Loving the pragmatism and flexibility when necessary this season. He knows we can't be too much of a one-trick pony.
He has also come through a tough start to the new season when things didn't go our way. I think that it is always a good sign when a team/club can hold their nerve and get back on track after some poor results.
